• Stringless Sugar Snap peas have bright green pods with thick walls that average 8 to 10 centimeters long. The smooth, shiny pods are straight to slightly curved and encase a single row of plump green peas. The pods offer a firm, crisp texture that is crunchy and juicy. Within are 6 to 8 round, tender peas that offer a sweet, slightly nutty flavor. Stringless Sugar Snap pea pods, young vines, leaves and flowers or pea tendrils, are also edible.

• Stringless Sugar Snap peas are versatile and can be enjoyed both raw, blanched and cooled, or cooked. Cut in half and add to green, pasta or grain salads. Cut into bite-sized pieces or julienne for a raw salad or slaw. Stringless Sugar Snap peas are used whole in stir-fries and soups . Often, they are simply tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper or roasted.

• Stringless Sugar Snap peas can be pickled to preserve or stored in a bag in the refrigerator for up to a week.
