Wheatgrass is the young grass sprouted from wheat seeds. The vivid green blades of grass are long, thin, and delicate. Wheatgrass is naturally sweet with an earthy grass-like flavor that is amplified significantly when juiced. Wheatgrass should be harvested when between seven and eleven inches in length as this is when the grass is at its nutritional peak.

Wheatgrass is most served juiced as this makes it easier to digest and improves absorption of the grass's vitamins and minerals.
